After attending the wonderful Maxted Thomas Event at the Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend last year I received a lovely parcel full of Nivea’s Vital Triple Action Soy+ range.

I had been recommend the Vital Triple Action Soy+ Eye and Lip Care for my bags and I was surprised to be sent the entire range!

As I’m in my early 20’s I enlisted my mother as a guinea pig as the range is designed for mature skin.

The Day Care cream is a “daily moisturiser designed specifically for the benefit of mature skins. Containing soy proteins to stimulate the skin’s own cell renewal process and the ability to maintain moisture, this regenerative cream works to firm the complexion and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.”

The cream is pale yellow colour and is soft, nourishing and absorbs quickly into the skin. It’s light but hydrating and a little goes a long way. After applying the skin feels smooth and supple.

My mother has very sensitive skin but so far she has had no reaction to the cream and has been using the Day Cream everyday for several months now.

The cost is quite reasonable for $20Aud a jar and can be found in most major chemists and supermarkets.

The appearance of fine lines has improved with them being slightly less noticeable.

The cream has a slight fragrance that I don’t find irritating to my sensitive nose.

Pros

  • Skin feels smooth and hydrated.
  • Slight reduction of fine lines.
  • Didn’t irritate my mothers very sensitive skin.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Price is quite reasonable at $19.95 a jar

Cons

  • Recently had a small breakout, but this also happened on my mothers lower neck so she believes it could have something to do with the change of weather into autumn. Not really a con as I can’t state it was caused by the cream and was most likely caused by weather factors.
  • Has a slight fragrance so if your looking for a cream without a scent this is not for you.

Would my mother repurchase? Yes when she runs out, she’s been using it for months and it’s barely half empty! Thanks Mummy for being my guinea pig!
